Phil Mershon is a web developer and co-owner of Return on Initiative, a company that focuses on helping people achieve their goals through Internet marketing and promotion. A graduate of Marshall University (Masters in Sociology, Bachelor's in English), he has served as a leader for several well-known corporations, including nine years in management with American Express. It is fair to say that Phil Mershon transforms every responsibility into something uniquely his own, preferring to hone the job to the values of the people rather than of some preconceived stereotype. He began working at age fourteen for Berger Hospital in Circleville, Ohio, where he helped with intake in the emergency room. Since that auspicious beginning, he has been a decision-maker at American Express Travel Related Services Card Division, a speechwriter for Salt River Project, the program manager for Wellness and Recovery in Life and Living (WELL), a professional and published writer (The New Yorker, Playtime, Nuvein, Training & Development, Ahwatukee Foothills, Philropost, and others), the leader of a jazz band, and the owner of a small fleet of taxis.
